Women’s top seed Anahat Singh dominated Hong Kong’s Pui Yin Chole Lo, defeating her in straight games to move into the next round. Anahat will now face Malaysian player Doyce Ye San Lee in the pre-quarterfinal stage.
In the men’s category, Aryaveer Dewan produced another impressive performance by overcoming South African Joseph Feast in straight games in the round-of-32. He will next compete against American player Yaseen Shalaby for a place in the quarterfinals.
Meanwhile, India’s Gurveer Singh, Yusha Nafees, Saanvi Kalanki, Rudra Singh, and Anika Dubey were eliminated from the tournament after losing their matches against higher-seeded opponents.
